The laid-back rider transforms into an explosive sprinter. He snaps onto the right wheel, reads the perfect line, and launches with the kind of power that makes you wonder if he saved every ounce of energy for exactly this moment.
He challenges the group, revels in the game, and lets the adrenaline take over. And as soon as the sprint is done, he just as smoothly slips back into the shelter of the bunch — as if nothing happened.
But don’t be fooled.
Behind that nonchalant exterior hides a cunning predator. While the rest are catching their breath, he’s already plotting his next surprise. A punchy attack on a climb, an acceleration out of a corner, or something totally unexpected.
